Luxembourg-based non-profit organisation LUkraine asbl has reported that two mobile stabilisation units worth €90,000 have been delivered to Ukrainian frontline medical teams.
According to LUkraine asbl, its Ukrainian representation, led by Chenbau Kim, delivered the units in February 2026 to the 5th Separate Assault Brigade and the Hospitallers medical unit, where they are already supporting emergency care for wounded soldiers near the front line.
The units were manufactured by Stabnet, a humanitarian initiative aiming to create a network of 300 mobile stabilisation points along the front line. LUkraine asbl noted that 55 such units have already been delivered to combat medics. The project seeks to save lives by providing rapid emergency care in fully equipped medical containers that can be quickly deployed close to combat zones.
Named "Grand Duc Jean" and "Grande Duchesse Charlotte", the two units include patient beds, operating tables, disinfection equipment, generators and other essential medical infrastructure. According to LUkraine asbl, each stabilisation unit costs €45,000. François Meyer, a close friend and long-standing supporter of the association, funded both units.
Commenting on the initiative, Inna Yaremenko, Vice-President of LUkraine asbl, told Chronicle.lu: "We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our friend and donor François Meyer, who has supported many of our projects over the past four years. This is yet another opportunity to thank the people of Luxembourg, who continue to support our association and Ukraine. That is why we have named these Stabnets after members of the Grand Duke's family, as a gesture of appreciation and respect.” She added: "This support is extremely important to us. Only together can we overcome our enemy and bring Ukraine closer to victory."
LUkraine asbl noted that support for the initiative is ongoing and invited members of the public to contribute to future deliveries through its fundraising campaign.
