Luxembourgish trumpeter and composer Gast Waltzing has announced several venues he will be performing at across Europe throughout the months of September and October 2015.
Gast Waltzing has established several jazz bands including Largo, with whom he will be performing a packed schedule which includes the Copenhagen Jazzhouse on 21 September, Helsinki's Koko Jazz Club on 22 September, a 23 September concert in Stockholm, and Den Hague on 24 September.
Gast, who began studying music at the Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg at the age of 7, will also be conducting the Philharmonie de Paris on 3 October 2015 as part of a programme mixing compositions by Philip Glass and Angélique Kidjo who will also be participating as a singer.
Towards the end of October, Gast Waltzing will be at the International Festival of Echternach to conduct a concert with Tom Gaebel and the WDR Funkhausorchester.
The German five-time Jazz Award winner will then honour legend of the genre Frank Sinatra on the occasion of what would have been Sinatra's 100th birthday. The show will be performed at the Klaus-von-Bismark-Saal of Cologne, as well as at the Essen Philharmonie on 25 October and the Ibbenbueren on 27 October 2015.
