French soul singer-songwriter Ben L'Oncle Soul will be performing at Den Atelier on Friday 10 July 2015.

Né Benjamin Duterde, Ben l'Oncle Soul started his musical career as part of a gospel group called Fitiavana in 2004, and released his first EP, 'Soul Wash: Lesson 1' in 2010.

His debut album sold over 450,000 copies, and he went on to perform a sell-out tour with over 300 shows across Europe, the US and Japan, earning him international recognition as a French maestro of soul music.

Ben l'Oncle Soul was called Uncle Ben by his friends, after the fictitious character on Uncle Ben's Rice packets, from which he developed his stage name and his signature retro style with accompanying bowtie.

In Luxembourg he will be performing his second album, 'À coups de rêves', which offers a festive, brassy soul accompanied by an irresistible groove during his supercharged shows.
