LU-CIX has announced the creation of LUNOG, the LUxembourg Network Operator Group, the fruit of a collaborative initiative between Conostix S.A., Fondation RESTENA, LU-CIX ASBL, LuxNetwork S.A. and security made in Lëtzebuerg GIE.

LUNOG aims to be the community of Network Operators willing to foster free exchanges and sharing - by means of a mailing list - and its sole purpose is to support people working for the ICT community in Luxembourg regarding the state of the Network.

We want to provide the Network community in Luxembourg and the Greater Region with a simple tool to make it very easy to exchange information, ask questions, etc. We have taken as an example what has been done in other European countries such as France with FRnOG, Germany with DENOG” stated Claude DEMUTH, CEO of LU-CIX.

With the LUNOG mailing list, people with common interest for Network and security operating, will be able to share in real time about their daily challenges, ask questions and quickly get answers from their peers. More than 60 people have already joined the LUNOG mailing list and are already interacting directly with the community through a chat system. Open and neutral, this platform aims to attract even more individuals to make the Network work!

LUNOG1, the official LUNOG launch conference, will be organized on 13 November 2018, during the afternoon of the first day of the Luxembourg Internet Days event to be held at the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce. Accessible free of charge, LUNOG1 will be the occasion for all users of the LUNOG mailing list, but also other professionals interested in this topic, to gather in one place with the presence of RIPE NCC representatives for inspired presentations and a dedicated networking cocktail.
