On Thursday 24 September 2026, nPerf, a broadband and mobile speed test provider based in Lyon, released its 2026 Mobile Network Coverage Barometer for Luxembourg, comparing the 4G and 5G coverage of the country’s three operators at national and regional level.
According to nPerf, Orange led the 5G coverage ranking, while POST remained the national leader in 4G. Only one percentage point separated Orange and Tango in the 5G ranking, reflecting competition that benefits users.
Orange ranked first for 5G coverage with an nPerf coverage index of 80.93%. Its 5G network covered 83.97% of the population and 77.89% of the country geographically. In 4G, Orange recorded an index of 95.62%, placing it third nationally.
Tango ranked second for 5G coverage with an nPerf index of 79.93%, just behind Orange. The operator recorded the highest population coverage among the three providers, at 84.38%, alongside geographical coverage of 75.47%. Tango also placed second in 4G with an index of 97.37%.
POST completed the 5G podium in third place with an nPerf coverage index of 76.08%. Its network covered 79.18% of the population and 72.97% of the country geographically. However, POST led the national 4G ranking with an index of 98.21%.
At regional level, Luxembourg recorded the highest 5G coverage rate at 81.0%, while Diekirch had the lowest at 76.0%.
“This barometer illustrates the dynamics of the Luxembourg market, where each operator is investing to strengthen its network coverage and offer users the best possible experience,” said nPerf CEO Sébastien de Rosbo.
The measurements were based on tests carried out via the nPerf Android application.
