On Monday 7 April 2025, nPerf, a broadband and mobile speed test provider based in Lyon, released its Fixed Internet Connection Barometer for Luxembourg (Baromètre des connexions Internet fixes au Luxembourg), analysing fixed internet connection data in Grand-Duchy for the period from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025.

According to nPerf, Luxembourg's fixed Internet market is characterised by strong competition among major providers. With an average nPerf score of 130,198 nPoints nationwide, Luxembourg operators deliver solid performance. Eltrona and POST shared first place in the overall ranking, maintaining the same position as the previous year. In terms of specific technologies, Eltrona led in Wi-Fi performance, while Orange, POST and Tango all showed competitive results for fibre (FTTH). Regarding key indicators, Eltrona ranked first for download speed (enabling fast downloads), latency (ensuring optimal responsiveness), browsing (for smooth web page loading) and video streaming (for uninterrupted viewing). POST held the top spot for upload speed, which is ideal for high-quality video conferencing.

Eltrona ranked first with 136,141 points. Measured data included a download speed of 230.6 Mbps, an upload speed of 51.7 Mbps, latency of 15.0 ms, a browsing performance rate of 84.7% and a video streaming rate of 90.7%. The download speed increased by 11.4% and the upload speed by 28.4% compared to the previous period.

POST came in second with 132,643 points. Measured data included a download speed of 189.3 Mbps, an upload speed of 125.1 Mbps, latency of 20.0 ms, a browsing rate of 83.1% and a video streaming rate of 88.7%.

Tango ranked third with 129,719 points. Measured data included a download speed of 203.1 Mbps, an upload speed of 124.8 Mbps, latency of 18.2 ms, a browsing rate of 80.3% and a video streaming rate of 84.8%. Latency improved by 18.2% compared to the previous period.

Orange placed fourth with 122,290 points. Measured data included a download speed of 213.5 Mbps, an upload speed of 115.7 Mbps, latency of 28.5 ms, a browsing rate of 82.0% and a video streaming rate of 82.1%.

The 2024 measurements show Eltrona in first place with 136,141 points. The gap with POST is 3,498 points. Tango is in third place, 6,422 points behind the leader,” stated nPerf CEO Sébastien de Rosbo.

The measurements were based on 12,095 tests conducted via the nPerf website and the nPerf mobile app for Android and iOS.
