Aztec Group, an independent fund and corporate services provider with an office in Luxembourg, has announced the appointment of Virginia Rothwell as its first Chief People Officer.

In her new role, Virginia Rothwell will drive the Group's people agenda, while leading multi-jurisdictional HR, employee engagement and training teams. The appointment is effective immediately.

Virginia Rothwell joins the Aztec Group from JLL, one of the world’s leading real estate firms, where she held the position of UK HR Director since 2014. In this role, she sat on the JLL UK Board and led the firm’s people strategy.

Virginia Rothwell has enjoyed an international career in sectors such as technology, professional services and retail banking, where she has developed people agendas for multinational firms. She also brings experience in marketing and business development to the Group. Prior to her time with JLL, Virginia spent thirteen years with BT in London and the Asia Pacific region, where she directed the people strategy and led a number of large-scale business transformation projects.

In her new role, Virginia Rothwell will sit on both the Aztec Group Executive Committee and the People Committee, with Group-wide responsibility for performance management and recruitment disciplines, people-focused change processes, reward strategies, professional development and succession planning. Based in the UK, she will regularly travel to all of the Group’s offices.
