On Wednesday 16 September 2026, the DeWidong Centre for Continuing Vocational Training (CFPC DeWidong Asbl), the National School of Health (ENSA) and the Chamber of Employees (CSL) signed a partnership agreement aimed at strengthening and structuring their cooperation in the field of continuing education in the health sector.
Described by the CSL as “a new partnership to make continuing education more accessible, better adapted to the realities of the workplace and valuable to the Luxembourg healthcare system as a whole”, the Chamber reported that the agreement was signed by Chantal Gantrel, President, and René Haagen, Vice-President, on behalf of CFPC DeWidong Asbl; by Maryse Goedert, Director, and Robert Kanz, Deputy Director, on behalf of the National School of Health; and by Nora Back, President, and Sylvain Hoffmann, Director, on behalf of the Chamber of Employees.
The CSL said that in response to the rapid evolution of healthcare professions, patients' changing needs and the growing challenges facing professionals in the sector, the three partners have chosen to combine their strengths. Their objective is to offer an innovative, practical and high-quality range of continuing education programmes designed to closely meet the needs of employees, institutions and the workplace.
Through this agreement, the three institutions intend to pool their expertise, educational resources and organisational capabilities in order to develop high-value-added training programmes. The proposed initiatives will focus in particular on supporting healthcare professionals in updating their knowledge, developing new skills and adapting to changes in professional practices.
This cooperation will also provide a solid framework for conceiving and implementing educational, scientific, technical and organisational projects. It will thereby help develop practical responses to the current and future challenges facing Luxembourg's healthcare system, for the benefit of professionals, patients and, more broadly, the entire population.
To ensure active and sustainable cooperation, the agreement provides for the establishment of a joint tripartite committee. This committee will be responsible for identifying training needs, proposing and selecting initiatives to be developed, setting their broad educational priorities and monitoring their implementation.
The cooperation will enable the three partners to draw on their complementary strengths:
• CFPC DeWidong will contribute its expertise in continuing professional education in the health sector, inter-institutional coordination and the development of educational programmes.
• ENSA will contribute its expertise in training healthcare professionals and, depending on the needs of the initiatives concerned, by providing specialised infrastructure and educational resources.
• CSL will contribute to discussions on employees' training needs and to developing access to high-quality training throughout their professional lives.
The CSL noted that this agreement marks a new stage in cooperation based on complementary expertise, the pooling of resources and a shared ambition: to provide long-term support to healthcare professionals in developing their knowledge and skills.
