The Grand Ducal Police have announced that a recruitment information day will take place on Saturday 19 September 2026 from 13:00 to 17:00 at the Police Academy (École de Police) in Findel.

The event will offer people interested in becoming police officers an opportunity to learn about the profession and the recruitment procedure. Officers from various services and units will provide information at themed stands about their respective roles, including work at police stations, investigations within the Judicial Police Service, airport policing, motorcycle patrols and dog handling. Members of the recruitment team and current trainee police officers will also be available to answer questions.

Visitors will be able to try out the course used for the physical examination, take a guided tour of the Police Academy and attend a demonstration of violence management in the police dojo.

For those unable to attend the information day, the Grand Ducal Police will organise regional information sessions from 17:00 to 19:00 on the following dates:

  • Monday 21 September: Luxembourg-Verlorenkost
  • Tuesday 22 September: Diekirch
  • Wednesday 23 September: Grevenmacher
  • Thursday 24 September: Differdange

According to the police, these sessions will give prospective candidates an opportunity to ask questions about recruitment and training and speak directly with representatives of certain police specialisations. Places are limited. Register via the link: https://gd.lu/60mkfM.

The information events form part of the Grand Ducal Police’s 2026/2027 recruitment drive, which will offer more than 200 positions across treatment groups A1, B1 and C1. Registration for the special examination to become a police officer will be open from 1 to 15 October 2026.

Following a recent reform of public service recruitment, the general aptitude test (EAG), organised by the Centre for Personnel Management and State Organisation (CGPO), is now integrated into the recruitment process and can no longer be taken independently of an application.
