Swiss Life Luxembourg – an integral part of Swiss Life Market Unit International – has announced that it has taken an even more significant role as the hub for the cross-border insurance business.

With the ambition to remain in the leadership position within the global employee benefits solutions market, Swiss Life International has implemented a new operating model for its Corporate Clients business line with a new leadership and a new organisational structure centralised in Luxembourg.

Therefore, Theo Iaponas has taken the lead for the Corporate Clients, managing and developing both the activities for its own balance sheet in Luxembourg and the Swiss Life Network - a global association of local insurers and business partners covering over 70 countries.

The Corporate Clients management team has also been restructured, strengthening the sales functions, with Vital Schwander heading the Sales and Market Development Department.

The Swiss Life Network, being an integral part of the further development of the corporate business, has also been relocated to Luxembourg, headed by Michael Hansen.

This new Luxembourg set-up has been completed with the arrival of Olivier Goïot as head of the Operations.

I am confident that this new direction, together with our new team, will bring our Corporate Clients business into a dynamic and successful future” said Theo Iaponas.

The Corporate Clients team will continue to provide a high quality service to local and multinational corporations, offering comprehensive employee benefits solutions ranging from retirement, death and disability coverage, not only for local employees but also for expatriates and mobile employees.

This new organisation and strategic direction demonstrate Swiss Life’s commitment to achieving an improved customer-centric model for its solutions and services in order to better meet clients and partners’ needs.
