The LCGB trade union has confirmed that, on 2 July 2015, they signed a collective agreement with Lidl Luxembourg for a period of 24 months with effect from 1 September 2015.; Lidl Luxembourg currently employs 130 employees.

The scope of the new collective labour agreement now includes shop assistants and managers.

The staff of the seven Lidl stores in Luxembourg will benefit from a new salary grid guaranteeing the equivalent of minimum wage for all employees qualified after 10 years of seniority. Compared to the old pay scale, workers at Lidl are gaining almost 6 years.

Besides the new pay scale, various bonuses have been negotiated:

• A seniority bonus amounting to a monthly half salary for employees reaching 10 years of seniority in the company. It will be granted retroactively to existing staff with more than 10 years seniority.

• A single premium of €30 for the birth of a child.

• Staff who react to respond to an alarm at the store will receive a bonus of €20 in addition to the relative pay in time worked on site, reimbursement for travel expenses and any supplements.

With the signing of this collective agreement, the LCGB trade union has improved employee compensation at Lidl Luxembourg for two years now.
