The LCGB trade union has announced that the first results of Wednesday's protest against Cargolux' personnel policy, the company's management have resulted in a first major concession.
The LCGB has reported that the CEO of Cargolux as agreed to negotiate the following 3 issues raised by the LCGB during the meeting of the Joint Committee on 16 and 17 July 2015:
1. The Event Review Group (ERG) provided in the "Just Culture" procedure will meet the request of the staff delegation whenever an incident or event warrants. In cases where external investigations (e.g. criminal cases) take precedence over internal procedures, senior management will inform the staff delegation.
2. The participation of staff representatives as full members of the disciplinary commission, with all the rights defined in the disciplinary proceedings.
3. The establishment of an internal appeal procedure for disciplinary actions.
Any Cargolux employee who is disciplined for one reason or another, must have the right to request a full review of his/her case by the staff delegation. The delegation will then communicate in writing its analysis and / or recommendations that must definitely be taken into account before any final decision is taken.
