The Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP®), a non-profit foundation that works to improve software securit, has announced the creation of its Luxembourg Chapter.

OWASP Local Chapters help build a community for application security professionals around the world. Local Chapter Meetings are free and open to anyone to attend so both members and non-members are always welcome. Such meetings include work-related talks, networking opportunities and skills training.

The newly created OWASP Luxembourg Chapter aims to gather and maintain an active community from different backgrounds and experiences (security professionals, software developers, architects, IT professionals, managers, executives, students, etc.) around application security topics. This new Chapter is also planning to support the organisation of the annual OWASP BeNeLux Days Conferences, together with the OWASP Belgium Chapter and OWASP Netherlands Chapter.

The OWASP Foundation works to improve the security of software through its community-led open source software projects, hundreds of chapters worldwide and tens of thousands of members, as well as by hosting local and global conferences.
