Spring Professional Luxembourg and Adecco Luxembourg have elaborated on their collaboration with ADEM and Ecolog as part of large-scale COVID-19 testing.

Spring Professional Luxembourg and Adecco Luxembourg, in collaboration in particular with the ADEM employment agency, are partners in the Luxembourg government's ambitious Ecolog project to carry out large-scale coronavirus screening tests among Luxembourg's residents and cross-border workers. Almost 345 people were recruited in a very short time.

Launched at the end of May and scheduled until 27 July 2020, the large-scale testing project aims to test up to 20,000 people per day at all sixteen Luxembourg-based sites. To this end, each site has between one and ten test lines and each line consists of three people: an administrative employee, a person in charge of logistics and a nurse (i.e. up to ten nurses per site). Each site is supervised by a site manager whilst security managers provide referrals and security elements.

Project coordinators, the Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH) and the company Ecolog. called on The Adecco Group as a partner for the recruitment and training of staff as well as the management of the daily planning. Mandated for the recruitment of nurses and administrative and logistics employees, The Adecco Group has been able to rely on its partners to find candidates, in addition to using its own database and the publication of advertisements. Several nurses were recruited through the health reserve, the LIH, recommendations and thanks to a partnership with nursing schools and medical faculties in France. However, 15% of the staff were recruited thanks to the intervention of ADEM.

Regarding logistics and administrative staff, Spring Professional and Adecco have sourced more than 400 candidates and trained more than 300. To date, more than 265 people have been recruited to carry out the testing project. By being mandated on this project, Spring Professional and Adecco took up the challenge of recruiting and training in volume in a very short time, while obtaining the authorisations to practise for nurses coming from abroad. With the gradual increase in registrations for the screening test, the number of nurses rose from 20 during the launch on 26 May to 80 nurses at present, most of whom have been recruited by Spring Professional. A flying team and a reserve are also available to meet last-minute needs. The month of June was very active between the management of recruitment, training, staff onboarding and planning.

According to The Adecco Group, the success of this project is ultimately the result of working hand in hand with Ecolog, LIH and ADEM. According to Julie Noirhomme, Managing Director of Spring Professional and member of the Management Committee of The Adecco Group, "this is a great opportunity for each of us to be part of this great collective, innovative and societal project".
