A while after the events of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) has now fully embraced his title as the new Captain America.

As a prelude to the main plot, the opening scenes feature Sam working alongside Joaquin Torres (Danny Ramirez) and his friend Isaiah Bradley (Carl Lumbly) to rescue a number of hostages and recover an invaluable cargo from the clutches of Sidewinder (Giancarlo Esposito). While they succeed, Sam feels that there is something off about the whole situation, with Sidewinder managing to escape.

A short while later, Sam is summoned to the White House as the newly-inaugurated President Thaddeus Ross (Harrison Ford) wants to work with him on rebuilding the Avengers.

However, trouble ensues when Isaiah inexplicably tries to assassinate the president and is framed for the attempt. Now Sam and Joaquin have to race against time to uncover the true culprit and foil an evil plot that unwittingly involves the President himself.

Sam must gain the trust of Israeli-born White House security Ruth Bat-Seraph (Shira Haas) and work together to find Sidewinder and establish who he is working for -
Samuel Sterns (Tim Blake Nelson) -  and establish the link to the President.

A rip-roaring, action-packed tale with a straight-forward plot, including an interesting link to another super-hero character and his alter-ego, with a number of scenes featuring cherry-blossom trees in Manhattan, New York. Much scope left for sequels...
