On Monday 22 July 2024, Film Fund Luxembourg reported that its selection committee met for its third session of the year from 15 to 19 July 2024.

The selection committee analysed a total of 27 film projects, of which sixteen will receive financial support from Film Fund Luxembourg, amounting to over €9.5 million.

A total of three live-action feature films, three animated feature films, two feature-length documentaries, four live-action series, one animated series, one live-action short film, one documentary short film and one virtual reality (VR) project will receive financial support for writing and/or development and production.

A total of nine film projects by Luxembourg directors will receive such support. This includes funding for the production of the following five projects: the animated feature film The Lion Queen by Carlo Vogele; the animated feature film The Last Dinosaur by Federico Milella; the documentary Capitales Europe - La Bataille des Sièges by Donato Rotunno; the short film Fade to Black by Anne Simon and Céline Camara; the short film La Forêt qui Murmure by Katarzyna Kot.
