The Grand Ducal Police reported that several alcohol- and drug-induced incidents took place over the weekend, during E-Lake Festival and the Picadilly wine fête.
At the E-Lake festival, a three-day open air musical event in Echternach, a man was put under temporary arrest after attacking officials and emergency personnel. It is not sure whether he was under the influence of alcohol or of drugs, but he was contained until he could sober up. Another man was similarly put under temporary arrest at the festival after drunkenly refusing to leave the bus.
The Picadilly wine fête also took place during the weekend, serving its legendary 'Picadilly' drink at the Moselle lock. At the event two people were reportedly injured in a brawl and an inebriated man fell into a fence. Another individual was written up after being found in possession of illegal narcotics.
