CELL - Citizens for Ecological Learning & Living has announced that it is organising a free public conference called "How to build a desirable future for our neighbourhoods, municipalities and cities?" at Centre Prince Henri in Walferdange on Wednesday 11 June 2025 at 19:30; doors open at 19:00.
Following welcome remarks by Luxembourg's Minister of the Environment, Climate and Biodiversity, Serge Wilmes, English environmental activist and writer Rob Hopkins will deliver this lecture in English, with translation into French available.
According to CELL, the event is aimed at anyone who is wondering about ways to respond to climate, social and democratic challenges at the local level.
CELL noted that Rob Hopkins, who co-founded the Transition Network and Transition Town Totnes, will "share inspiring and concrete ideas on how to rethink our ways of living and collective organisation". He will also present his new book, How to Fall in Love with the Future: A Time Traveller's Guide to Changing the World, for the first time in Luxembourg.
The lecture will be followed by a Q&A session. There will also be a cocktail and book signing at the end of the event.
Anyone wishing to attend should register (for free) via Eventbrite here.
