On Tuesday 24 January 2017, IMS Luxembourg (Inspiring More Sustainability) officially sealed its commitment to myclimate Luxembourg by signing a partnership agreement.
By signing this agreement, IMS Luxembourg has officially reaffirmed its long-term commitment and support for climate protection projects.
IMS and myclimate Luxembourg wished to formalise their efforts to reduce the carbon footprint of business network activities, particularly at the level of the many events organised each year. As such, representatives of IMS, the CSR network in the Grand Duchy, and myclimate Luxembourg, the leading clearing house in the country, have joined forces to compensate for unavoidable emissions. Representing IMS were Diane Muller-Kneip, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Nancy Thomas, Director, while MyClimate Luxembourg was represented by its Directors Erny Huberty and Laurent Majerus.
Last year, IMS supported the Mobisol Smart Solar Homes project in Tanzania, which installs high-tech solar-powered domestic systems with ICT solutions, proving to be a clean and affordable alternative to fossil fuels. The benefits of this program are environmental, social and economic. Mobisol Smart Solar Homes is a project that has received the Momentum For Change Award and is recognized by the UN Secretary-General. It offers a sustainable and easy-to-use system and enables the development of education and telephone operators for small households and small businesses.
