On the occasion of World Environment Day on Sunday 5 June 2016, several government officials are inviting members of the Luxembourg public to join them on hikes in the east and north of the country.

Minister of Environment, Carole Dieschbourg, will be discovering the attractions of the Mullerthal Trail, whilst Secretary of State for Sustainable Development and Infrastructure, Camille Gira, will show hikes the beauty of the forests around Beckerich. The walks are two and a half hours long and are open to all interestes citizens, regardless of physical condition. No reservation is required.

Both hikes will leave at 14:30, from the Echternach Gare carpark for the tour with Carole Dieschbourg and from the Beckerich church for the walk with Camille Gira.

The hikes may be cancelled in the event of bad weather conditions.
