On Friday 22 April 2016, Minister of the Environment Carole Dieschbourg will sign the Paris climate agreement on behalf of Luxembourg at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
In total, 35 heads of state, 22 heads of government, 17 Foreign Ministers and 29 ministers will be involved in the signing ceremony.
As President of the Council of the Environment, Minister Dieschbourg was responsible for the coordination of the European position at the COP21 climate conference which took place in December 2015 in Paris.
The Minister is in New York from 20 to 23 April 2016 to also represent Luxembourg in high-level meetings - including the implementation of Agenda 2030 and its 17 sustainable development goals - to be held on the sidelines of the signing ceremony.
