Categories & Winners
Cities, Municipalities, Public Utilities
Winner: Municipality of Niederanven, which is described as taking a proactive approach with and for its residents, in terms of energy renovation and photovoltaic production on private roofs. It has also built a car park with "exemplary" photovoltaic coverage and is leading the "Solar Challenge" for municipalities.
Solar Architecture & Urban Development
Winner: Solar Community Schwebach
Partners: Energiegemeinschaft Schwebach, the municipality of Saeul, BENG Architectes and Energiepark Réiden
According to Eurosolar Lëtzebuerg, this project embodies the entrepreneurial spirit of the energy transition: local production and consumption, integration of a smart energy management system with a district battery, and use of sustainable materials. It is described as "an emblematic achievement of a new model of sustainable and collective housing".
Industrial, Commercial or Agricultural Companies
Special Mention: LAB Group Luxembourg SA, for its "exemplary" building integrating photovoltaic installations and a smart energy management system. This project is said to concretely reflect the group's "sustainable commitment" and "proves that sustainability and profitability go hand in hand".
Winner: Solarcells, for its "entrepreneurial courage" in launching a local photovoltaic production line at a time dominated by low-cost imports. "Research, innovation and circularity characterise this ambitious and sustainable industrial project," according to Eurosolar Lëtzebuerg.
Winner: GPSS – AgriPV Kielen Project
In partnership with the farmer Baus, this project was the first AgriPV installation in Luxembourg. It combines solar energy production and agricultural activities, thus providing additional income for farmers while supporting biodiversity.
Local Associations & Communities
