ENEXEN, a Luxembourg company created in February 2015, has launched as a means of providing clients with tailored solutions for reducing their energy consumption and carbon footprint.
"ENEXEN was born from the observation that the majority of energy audits conducted on behalf of businesses, industrial companies and municipalities never involves a guaranteed result or even concrete follow-up work," explained Marc Wagener, Partner. "Generally the client must themselves initiate the various studies and meetings. It is financially responsible for everything but there is no guarantee that the announced energy savings will actually come to be. We therefore wanted to address this failure in the market by offering a turnkey 'energy performance contract', which includes guranteed results and provides a comprehensive framework".
The 'energy performance contract' provided by ENEXEN is unique to the Luxembourg market, customised to meet the specific needs of each client and covering all stages of the project, from audit to bank and investor financing.
The audit established a long-term commitment solution, by identifying possibilities for energy consumption reduction and potential savings in this respect.
"In this way, the difference between what the customer was paying to its energy suppliers before the work and what they pay after the work will reimburse the costs of the work undertaken by ENEXEN," continued Marc Wagener. "We therefore undertake the risk if the savings are not consistent with our promises".
ENEXEN is comprised of a team of recognised and qualified contractors who have gained experience of the energy market in Luxembourg.
