On Tuesday 29 March 2022, Fleur Thomas, the British Ambassador to Luxembourg, and Stefan van Look, Trade and Investment Adviser at the British Embassy in Luxembourg, met with representatives of British Airways at the British Ambassador's Residence on the occasion of the launch of a new route connecting Luxembourg with London City Airport.
As of Sunday 27 March 2022, the flag carrier airline of the United Kingdom (UK) has begun making the return journey to London City three times a day, in addition to the existing route between London Heathrow and Luxembourg.
The British Ambassador welcomed the added routes, which offer business people, families and tourists the opportunity to fly into the heart of London. Both Ambassador Thomas and the representatives of British Airways said that they were looking forward to continuing to promote the important ties between Luxembourg and the UK.
