As of Thursday 9 July 2026, registration is officially open for the Luxembourg Song Contest (LSC) 2027, as the search begins for the country's next Eurovision representative.

Artists hoping to perform on the Rockhal stage during the fourth edition of the LSC can now submit their applications via https://eurovision.rtl.lu/registration.

Since Luxembourg's return to the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) in 2024, the LSC has served as the national final to select the Grand Duchy's Eurovision representative.

For the 2027 edition, artists and songs will be selected through two parallel application processes.

Artists wishing to represent Luxembourg at the LSC and ESC can apply for auditions without being attached to a specific song. To be eligible, applicants must:

  • be of Luxembourgish nationality; or
  • have resided in the Grand Duchy for three consecutive years; or
  • demonstrate a strong connection to the Luxembourg music scene.

Applicants must also be at least eighteen years old by 15 January 2027, be broadly available between November 2026 and May 2027 for LSC / ESC preparation and promotion, and be capable of performing live on a large stage. A maximum of six performers may appear on stage.

The deadline for artist applications is 20 September 2026 at midnight. Auditions will take place in mid-October before an international jury of Eurovision experts, who will shortlist the candidates for the Luxembourg Song Contest.

A separate application process is open for song submissions until 29 October 2026. Songwriters and composers from Luxembourg and abroad are invited to submit original songs for Luxembourgish performers. Songs must not exceed three minutes in length, must not have been released or publicly performed before 1 September 2026 and may be performed in any language.

The organisers (RTL) added that shortlisted artists and songs will come together during a Pairing Workshop in late October or early November, where participants will work with industry experts to select the song that best reflects each artist's identity and Eurovision potential. The finalists of the Luxembourg Song Contest will then be selected following this process.

The Luxembourg Song Contest 2027 is scheduled to take place at the Rockhal in Esch-Belval in January 2027. Chronicle.lu will publish further details once the organisers announce the event date.
