On Friday 17 April 2026, Luxembourg's Ministry of Culture announced the launch of five calls for projects targeting the cultural sector.
The initiatives aim to support artistic creation, innovation and access to culture across a range of fields, including digital media, visual arts, publishing, museums and social inclusion.
Support for new forms of cultural mediation
The first call provides financial support for new forms of cultural mediation, including blogs, vlogs and podcasts. It targets independent authors, critics and commentators who develop online platforms dedicated to covering and analysing Luxembourg’s cultural and artistic scene.
The initiative aims to encourage innovative formats and new forms of expression, while offering the public independent perspectives on the arts.

Acquisition of artworks
As part of its policy to support creation and innovation, the Ministry of Culture acquires artworks annually on behalf of the State. This call is open to visual artists, including Luxembourg nationals, residents or those with a proven cultural connection to the country.
Through this initiative, the ministry aims to enhance the visibility of artists’ work and contribute to the preservation of Luxembourg’s cultural heritage.

Publication grant for non-fiction cultural works
This call introduces a publication grant for non-fiction cultural works. It aims to support professional authors whose work contributes to the fields of history and culture, particularly in relation to Luxembourg or its society.

Support for museum and cultural site projects
The Ministry of Culture is also launching a call to support projects for museums and cultural sites. The initiative aims to enhance the country’s cultural offering by promoting heritage, improving access to collections and increasing visibility.
It also seeks to encourage inclusion, non-formal education and employment within the cultural and creative sectors.

“Kultur am Prisong” initiative
In cooperation with the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Culture has launched the “Kultur am Prisong” call for projects, aimed at promoting access to culture for people in detention.
The initiative seeks to support cultural participation in prisons, contributing to rehabilitation, social reintegration and personal development.
