The Rotondes Cultural Centre recently presented its 2024/25 season, announcing that this season will mark a major turning point in the history of the cultural institution; a new phase of renovation works will begin in 2025, for a minimum duration of four years.

This period will require adaptation, but the cultural offering will continue and remain “as original and diverse as usual”, the organisers noted, adding that the upcoming season already promises some new features.

The construction site will mean that some rooms will not always be available, and access routes may be temporarily modified.

Rotonde 1 (Grande Salle, Galerie and Plateforme) will no longer be accessible from the end of 2024. The Grande Salle will host its last show at the end of November 2024. As the Gallery is closed, the exhibitions will be redesigned in new formats.

The Klub will not be affected and will host not only concerts but also other points of the programme; the bar inside the Klub will only be open during Rotondes events.

Shows will continue to take place in the Black Box and the Studios and the Central Pavilion will remain accessible to the Labs.

At the beginning of 2025, the kitchen and the outdoor counter of the current Buvette on the Parvis will be closed and dismantled.

Part of the programme will be organised outside the walls throughout the works.

The Rotondes institution will remain open throughout the construction period with a continued adapted programme in the available spaces during the different phases of the work. The Rotondes site will remain accessible and public circulation will be adapted and signposted according to the construction site. The team will continue to work on the programming and on the preparation of future spaces to improve the public experience.

The ticket office will remain open from Tuesday to Friday from 13:30 to 18:00.

The offer of privatisation and rental will be suspended until the end of the renovation work. Throughout the work, the Rotondes' representatives emphasised that they aim to keep the public as informed as possible of the progress of the work.

Among the English-language events on offer, there will be: Eutopia, a game-theatre show on 25 October 2024, Tiptiptaps, a series of music workshops for toddlers and their caretakers from 11 November to 19 December, the Waste Orchestra, a “rubbish music” workshop set to take place on 22 November 2024 and We Come from Far, Far Away, a theatre performance by NIE Theatre on 21 and 22 March 2025.
