On Tuesday 18 October 2022, Lithuania's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gabrielius Landsbergis, visited several projects of the Esch2022 - European Capital of Culture programme in Esch-sur-Alzette.

Following an invitation issued during a recent working visit to Lithuania, Luxembourg's Minister of Culture, Sam Tanson, received the Lithuanian Foreign Minister for a visit to several Esch2022 projects.

After a tour of the current exhibition "Anachronisms" by the Lithuanian artist Deimantas Narkevičius at the Konschthal, in the presence of the Mayor of Esch-sur-Alzette and President of Esch2022, Georges Mischo, and the director of the Konschthal, Christian Mosar, Luxembourg's Culture Minister accompanied Minister Landsbergis on a visit to the MUAR - Musée vun der Aarbecht (museum of labour) in Kayl-Tétange. Together with Mayor Jean Weiler and the person in charge of the cultural service, Pascal Useldinger, the two ministers listened to the explanations of Marieke Jarvis of the cultural service of Kayl-Tétange about the exhibition "The Great Industry", which is organised jointly with Kaunas 2022 (Lithuania), another European Capital of Culture this year, at the brand new Musée Ferrum.

Minister Landsbergis concluded his visit with a walk through the site of Esch-Belval and a tour on board the "Urban Time Travel" bus, which offers a journey in virtual reality to discover the eventful history of the site and the region of Belval.
