The Fonds culturel national has organised an “open studios” day to promote the winners of its grants and residences programme, Chantal Maquet and Nora Wagner, on 7 and 16 November 2017.
The open days will allow the public to visit Chantal Maquet and Nora Wagner in their workshops at the Annexes in Bourglinster and the Bamhaus in Dommeldange, respectively. The two Luxembourgish artists will open the doors of their workshops to public to let them visit their creative space, as well as having the chance to see the works produced as part of their residency.
Chantal Maquet’s Open Studio will take place on Tuesday 7 November from 17:00 to 20:00 at the Annexes to the Château de Bourglinster. The public can follow the creation process of her series "Nuets virun der Dier" which will be exhibited in the Konschthaus Beim Engel Gallery from 7 to 30 December 2017.
Nora Wagner's creative space will be open to the public on Thursday 16 November 2017 from 17:00 to 20:00 at the Bamhaus, located on the ArcelorMittal site in Dommeldange. During this open studio, the public will be able to meet the Luxembourg artist and discover the stage of work of her project "Stranger than Fiction", made in collaboration with the anthropologist Louise Wagner. This residency follows Nora’sparticipation in the Artmix exchange programme and her creative residency at the Théâtre d'Esch.
