The Indian Association Luxembourg (IAL) has announced the second edition of the IAL Trophy, a cricket event taking place on the Pierre Werner Cricket Ground in Walferdange on Thursday 15 August 2024, from 09:00 to 20:00.
Last year, IAL held the first edition of the IAL Trophy, which replaced the Lagaan Cup. The all-day, family-friendly cricket event is held on Indian Independence Day; 15 August is also a public holiday (Assumption Day) in Luxembourg.
The cricket matches will feature various club teams in Luxembourg, including both men's and women's six-a-side cricket. Alongside the cricket, there will be fun activities for children, including a bouncy castle and face painting.
Visitors can also expect Indian food, a BBQ and drinks for sale near the pavilion end.
