The Intellectual Property Office of the Ministry of the Economy and the Luxembourg Intellectual Property Institute (IPIL) have announced that the 18th Luxembourg Intellectual Property (IP) Day will take place on Tuesday 21 April 2026 at the National Library of Luxembourg (BnL).
As is the case every year, this event dedicated to intellectual property will bring together national and international experts, practitioners, researchers and representatives from the public and private sectors. Entitled “Copyright – between art and economy”, this year’s edition will focus on the economic, cultural, legal and technological challenges related to the protection of works in the context of digital developments and artificial intelligence.
The event will highlight the growing importance of intellectual property, and in particular copyright, as a key driver of creativity, innovation and competitiveness across various sectors of the economy.
The programme will include a series of presentations and panel discussions featuring experts from the fields of libraries, collective copyright management, technology entrepreneurship and academia.
The conference will conclude with closing remarks by Luxembourg’s Minister for Culture, Eric Thill.
