On Tuesday 6 October 2015, the University of Luxembourg will be hosting an open debate centered around the theme of 'Making Progress in Economic and Monetary Union'.
The debate will be held by Luxembourg Minister of Finance, Pierre Gramegna; the Ambassador of Italy to Luxembourg, Stefano Maria Cacciaguerra Ranghieri; President of the University of Luxembourg, Rainer Klump and Minister of Economy and Finances of Italy, Pier Carlo Padoan.
The latter was Professor of Economics at Sapienza University of Rome until 2007 and has acted as a visiting professor at Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium; University of Urbina, Italy; Universidad de la Plata, Argentina; and University of Tokyo, Japan. The Minister has also been published in the field of European economics and political economy.
To RSVP to the event, email event-06.10.2015@uni.lu, specifying your name, title and institution. The event will run from 16:00 until 17:30 at Lecture Hall 3.500 at the Belval Campus of the University of Luxembourg.
The event will be opened and introduced by Minister Gramegna, with a keynote speech and concluding remarks provided by Minister Carlo Padoan and Rainer Klump, respectively. The open debate will then take place before the event is closed with a cocktail reception.
