Hundreds of participants gathered at Rotondes yesterday to attend the 2015 edition of the Luxembourg Sustainability Forum, organised by Inspiring More Sustainability (IMS).
The Forum was dedicated to corporate social responsibility of organisations in Luxembourg, with themed workshops, roundtables, exhibitions, interactive events and inspiring speeches addressing topics such as responsible finance, management and reporting in CSR, responsible ICT, sustainable territories, nutrition and more.
Over 30 stakeholders offered their expertise and moderated discussion, before guest speaker and renowned futurist Jeremy Rifkin, following a meeting of Energy Ministers on Wednesday, presented his strategic vision for dealing with an economic crisis and announced the launch of a study to initiate the Third Industrial Revolution in Luxembourg.
The Forum was initiated by IMS Luxembourg with a view to inspiring responsible practices and demonstrating that the integration of CSR at a strategic levels holds benefits for all spheres of business. With the idea that these issues must now be reflected upon and integrated into global political organisations, IMS decided to establish the CEO Sustainability Club at the Forum.
A hundred CEOs registered for this new Sustainability Club with the aim of taking a step towards sustainability and meeting emerging challenges in this area. Leaders play a major role in this respect as they hold the capacity to implement CSR at all levels of an organisation.
Yves Lahaye, Managing Director of RBC Investor & Treasury Services, stated that the "Luxembourg CEO Sustainability Club represents an exchange circle for good practices and a catalyst of innovation concerning corporate social responsibility to find innovative solutions for a more sustainable world".
