On 2 February 2017, Marie-Hélène Massard, the CEO of AXA Luxembourg and AXA Wealth Europe, gave a cheque for €5,000 to Janet Steinmetzer, Major Gifts and Partnerships Manager of Médecins sans Frontières Luxembourg.
For several years, as part of their participation in responsible businesses, AXA societies in Luxembourg have made the decision to financially support charities in Luxembourg rather than give traditional gifts at the end of the year.
This year’s chosen charity was Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Luxembourg, which last year celebrated its 30th anniversary. AXA’s donation will contribute to the charity’s medical activities and help the most vulnerable people across the globe.
Janet Steinmetzer, Major Gifts and Partnerships Manager at MSF Luxembourg has commented on AXA’s decision, stating that “MSF is proud to have been chosen by AXA for this lovely and generous act of solidarity.” She added that this donation will “allow us to pursue our humanitarian medical activities in over 70 countries around the world.”
