On Thursday 24 September 2015, the HELP support and care network inaugurated the new premises at its Ehlerange branch.
Present were Henri Hinterscheid, alderman of the town of Esch; Georges Engel, Mayor of the Commune of Sanem; and Paul Bach, President of the HELP network, which is comprised of 1,200 collaborators spread across 21 branches.
The latter commented: "Since opening in 2011, the Esch-sur-Alzette branch has grown considerably. This new location allows us to face the constraints posed by the old infrastructure, which was no longer able to accommodate a growing number of collaborators".
"In less than 15 years, we have gone from ten employees to 65 employees," reiterated Liliane Noloni, who has been head of the care branch since 2011. "The quality of the support offered to our clients and the availability and professionalism of the caregivers helped forge the reputation of our service".
Alderman of the city of Esch, Henri Hinterscheid, commended the cooperation that has existed between this assistance and care network and the city for the last 14 years, closing the inauguration of the new premises with a thank-you speech and an invitation extended to those present to enjoy a celebratory glass offered by the commune of Sanem.
"The increase in the number of customers has led us to increase the number of employees at the branch," continued Liliane Noloni. "In addition, we have been careful to diversify the qualifications available to best meet the needs and expectations of our clients". The branch constitutes a multidisplinary team of nurses, health aides, psychologists and social and homecare workers.
It was this expansion that led to the move to the new premises in Ehlerange, which will better equip the team for the needs of its care recipients. The care team continues to work closely with the Fondation Veuve Emile Metz-Tesch, the CIGL of Esch, the local section of Croix-Rouge luxembourgeoise and the Association Alzheimer Luxembourg.
