The Conservatoire du Nord and the CAPE - Centre des Arts Pluriels Ettelbruck have announced that they are organising two performances of their Advent concert on Sunday 12 December 2021.

The CMNord vocal ensemble and the Orchestre de Chambre du Luxembourg (OCL), under the direction of Matthias Rajczyk, will perform the Christmas Oratorio by Johann Sebastian Bach. This composition brings to life, in words and sounds, the story of the birth of Christ.

At 15:00, children aged 6 and up can discover the music of Bach in a version by Michael Gusenbauer. This version is characterised by illustrative musical extracts suited to children.

At 17:00, audiences will have the opportunity to hear the first three cantatas of the original score, the libretto of which is based on the Gospel of Luke.

Both performances will take place at CAPE (1 Place Marie Adélaïde, Ettelbruck).

Tickets for the first performance (at 15:00) cost €16 (€8 for under-26s); tickets for the second performance (at 17:00) cost €26 (€13 for under-26s). Reservations can be made via tel.: 2681-2681 or via email: billetterie@cape.lu.
