Firce Capital, a Luxembourg-based asset management and real estate investment company, has renewed its partnership with Kinepolis Group on the operation of cinemas in the Belval Plaza shopping centre in Esch-Belval.

The renewal of this partnership, for a period of fifteen years, will be accompanied by the transformation of Kinepolis Belval into one of Europe's most modern and attractive cinema complexes by the end of 2021.

This partnership, which is part of the development of the Belval Plaza, aims to improve the visitor route and facilitate access and provides for a total reconfiguration of the cinema entrance. The project also includes the creation of a “Kids Zone", adjacent to the Kinepolis Belval area. Intended for children aged three and over, this new area of ​​over 400 m2 has been designed as an invitation to a world of discovery, games and experiences. It will be made up of several universes (Jungle, Bubble and Cabin) to allow parents to do their shopping while offering their children a moment of fun and relaxation.

The context of the current health crisis is, in this sense, conducive to carrying out major works aimed at modernising the centre. 2021 should also be the year of the development of a new Food Hall covering more than 2,500m² in order to offer a real leisure and catering offer in the shopping centre”.

With nearly seven million visitors per year, a surface area of 37,150 m² and 1,200 parking spaces, Belval Plaza is one of Luxembourg's largest shopping centres. Located in Esch-sur-Alzette, the Belval Plaza shopping centre, acquired in March 2020 by Firce Capital, enjoys a strategic location. Connected directly to the train station, it is located nearly 20 minutes from Luxembourg City by the A4 and a few minutes from France by the D16. It offers a large selection of international brands such as Action, Alain Afflelou, Camaieu, Chaussea, Delhaize, Esprit, Etam, Grand Optical, H&M, Leonidas, New Yorker, Saturn, Tally Weijl, Tamaris and Trafic.
