Kinepolis Luxembourg has announced the opening of the first ScreenX cinema in Luxembourg, located at Kinepolis Belval, on Tuesday 2 October 2024.
This new immersive technology, a first in the country, offers an even more intense cinematic experience by extending the projection of certain scenes of a film onto the side walls of the cinema. This creates an immersive and panoramic 270° experience, plunging the viewer into the heart of the film.
The development work on this innovative cinema began on 2 September and is expected to be completed by the end of the month.
According to Kinepolis Luxembourg, "this investment demonstrates Kinepolis' commitment to remaining at the forefront of innovation and continually enriching its customers' experience. The arrival of ScreenX technology in Luxembourg is a major milestone for Kinepolis Belval, confirming Kinepolis' desire to offer top-notch cinematic experiences in its cinemas".
Note: CJ 4DPlex, a subsidiary of the CJ conglomerate, created ScreenX. The sequences projected in ScreenX format are carefully selected to enhance the cinematic experience, which means that the side screens do not continuously broadcast images from the film.
