Luxembourg-based non-profit organisation LUkraine asbl has reported that its “Warm Her Courage!” Christmas fundraising campaign raised €60,000 for Ukrainian women defenders, with Luxembourg's Directorate of Defence matching the amount to bring the total value of the project to €120,000.
According to LUkraine, the final deliveries of uniforms and footwear were completed in early May 2026. The equipment was distributed to at least six military units, including Azov and Hospitallers. Overall, the campaign financed the delivery of more than 600 uniform items and around 450 pairs of military footwear for women serving on the front line.
The campaign, launched in late 2025, aimed to finance winter uniforms and tactical footwear specifically designed for women serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“We have just completed the delivery of the final batches of uniforms and footwear for women serving on the front line,” said LUkraine Vice-President Inna Yaremenko. She added that: “The shortage of properly designed military gear for women has always been a serious issue and, unfortunately, it remains widespread today. We are proud to have contributed to such an important cause and to support the incredibly brave Ukrainian women who are defending us on the front lines every day.”
Inna Yaremenko also thanked Luxembourg's Directorate of Defence and Defence Minister Yuriko Backes for supporting the initiative.
The campaign focused on financing high-quality winter uniforms and tactical boots manufactured in Ukraine and approved by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine. According to LUkraine, the equipment was designed to provide improved comfort, mobility and protection in harsh winter conditions.
LUkraine previously noted that more than 68,000 women currently serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, while over 130,000 women work across Ukraine's wider security and defence sector.
