On Monday 3 August 2026, Luxembourg's national weather service, MeteoLux, issued yellow weather warnings for thunderstorms and high temperatures across the country.
According to MeteoLux, the thunderstorm warning will be in effect nationwide from 17:00 until 23:00 on Monday. Thunderstorms accompanied by wind gusts of up to 80 km/h, or locally stronger, are expected. Rainfall totals of between 15 and 25 l/m² within a short period and localised hail are also possible.
The heat warning remains in effect nationwide from 00:00 on Monday 3 August until 00:00 on Wednesday 5 August 2026.
MeteoLux added that moderate heat stress is expected, with fatigue and heat exhaustion possible in the event of prolonged exposure or physical activity.
