On the occasion of the 2025 edition of the Schueberfouer, the City of Luxembourg and Caves Bernard-Massard once again released a new “special cuvée”, featuring the Schueberfouer visual created by illustrator Sophie Ensel.
As part of this initiative, Caves Bernard-Massard had committed to donating €0.50 per bottle sold to a selected charitable organisation.
This year, an amount of €1,000 was donated to the AFPL (Association of Families with a Relative Affected by Psychosis in Luxembourg), in the presence of representatives of Caves Bernard-Massard as well as the Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Luxembourg. The AFPL was represented at the handover by Paule Hansen, treasurer and founding member, and Yolanda Garcia, secretary.
Association of Families with a Relative Affected by Psychosis in Luxembourg
Founded in 2017 by family members directly confronted with the challenges of supporting a relative living with psychosis, the AFPL was created in response to limited available support and the lack of reliable, accessible information for affected families. The association seeks to raise awareness and share knowledge that can help families navigate the complex realities surrounding psychosis.
Since its establishment, the AFPL has focused on fostering synergies between political stakeholders, the medical field and approved care structures, with the aim of improving the support provided to those affected. While not a professional care provider or support group, the association works through a range of initiatives designed to strengthen dialogue, education and mutual understanding. Convinced that improving the lives of people living with psychosis requires collective effort, the AFPL collaborates with all relevant actors to promote better awareness and concrete progress.
