Stëmm vun der Strooss charity for the homelss and vulnerable members of society has reported that recently they welcomed volunteers from the National Youth Service (SNJ) at their premises on Rue de la Fonderie; as part of a group project, the volunteers had collected clothes which they donated to help people in need.
This initiative went beyond a simple act of solidarity: the volunteers also had the opportunity to gain a first-hand insight into Stëmm's headquarters. During a guided tour, they were able to explore the various workshops and gain a better understanding of the support offered to people in precarious situations, such as the provision of healthy food and social and professional reintegration.
Each volunteer was thus able to realise the importance of their commitment and to see the real impact their work can have on the ground.
The Stëmm vun der Strooss thanked the SNJ and its volunteers for their visit and support. Such initiatives strengthen the ties between organisations and young people who wish to actively engage in social and solidarity actions. "Together, we can continue to make a positive difference in the lives of the most vulnerable".
