On Tuesday 28 January 2025, Foyer, a Luxembourg-based insurance and financial services company, and CapitalatWork, an asset manager and member of Foyer Group, announced they will host the RotARTy Helps Children exhibition at the Group's premises in Leudelange, in collaboration with Rotary Luxembourg-Horizon, from Friday 31 January to Tuesday 25 February 2025.
In 2019, during the renovation of a building in Luxembourg City, panels were installed to cover the site openings. Instead of leaving these surfaces blank, the developer invited street artists to transform them into unique works of art. Featuring creations by renowned artists such as Sumo, Stick, Thomas Iser and Ador, these panels are now set to emerge from obscurity for an exhibition and auction organised by Rotary Horizon Luxembourg.
The funds will support an innovative programme set up by SOS Children's Villages that uses the benefits of nature to help children in crisis. The aim is to provide them with a calming environment in which to develop new skills and better manage the challenges they face.
Rotary Luxembourg-Horizon will also be selling a platform painted by Sumo, created as part of Esch2022, European Capital of Culture, which was used as a stage by renowned BMX rider Viki Gomez.
The opening of the exhibition will feature a BMX show by Viki Gomez.
“Hosting the RotARTy Helps Children exhibition is an opportunity to celebrate the dynamism and creativity of street art artists. Their energy and commitment show that art can be a powerful force for solidarity,” stated Marie-Hélène Massard, Deputy CEO of Foyer SA.
Romain Poulles, Chairman of the Sustainability Commission at Rotary Luxembourg-Horizon, added: “By combining street art with sustainability and humanitarian action, which are also Rotary values, this exhibition embodies my passions and convictions. It's a celebration of the positive impact we can have together.”
