SOS Villages d'Enfants Monde has announced that it will hold its 47th Gala Concert at the Philharmonie Luxembourg on Thursday 7 December 2023 at 19:30.

This benefit concert will bring together the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg (OPL), under the direction of the Finnish conductor Tarmo Peltokoski. The soloist for the evening will be the South Korean baritone Taehan Kim, trained at the College of Music Seoul National University, winner of the 2023 Queen Elisabeth Competition. He will perform works by Richard Strauss, Richard Wagner and Erich Wolfgang Korngold. The evening will continue after the break with Anton Bruckner.

The proceeds from this solidarity evening, organised with the support of EY, will be allocated to a project focused on strengthening the child protection system in Uzbekistan. For several years, a branch of the non-profit organisation SOS Villages d'Enfants has been providing assistance to disadvantaged children and families in the Khorezm region. This organisation has been operational in the country since 1996 and in the region since 2010.
