The City of Luxembourg (Ville de Luxembourg - VdL) and ING have announced that the Luxembourg Pride Run raised €23,633 for a new LGBTIQ+ project.

On Tuesday 17 October 2023, the VdL and ING (organisers of this event) presented a cheque for €23,633 to Rosa Lëtzebuerg and Centre LGBTIQ+ CIGALE, two organisations which promote the inclusion and rights of the LGBTIQ+ community in Luxembourg. The funds raised, coming from registrations and donations generated by the Luxembourg Pride Run, will support a new project piloted by the two organisations and aimed at raising awareness in the sporting world of the inclusion of LGBTIQ+ people through workshops, training courses and information material intended for sports clubs and federations.

About 1,500 people took part in the first edition of the Luxembourg Pride Run, held on 5 July 2023. According to the organisers, this high turnout sends a strong sign of inclusion and a more egalitarian society.

A second edition is set to take place in 2024.
