Luxembourg-based non-governmental organisation (NGO) SOS Villages d'Enfants Monde has announced the launch of its annual sponsorship campaign.

Traditionally, October is the month of SOS Villages d'Enfants Monde's annual sponsorship campaign. In 2023, the NGO can count on a new brand ambassador: Luxembourgish actor and comedian Tommy Schlesser.

SOS Villages d'Enfants Monde recalled that the world is going through several crises, the repercussions of which are even greater for the most vulnerable, particularly children who have lost parental care, who have not had the chance to get a good start in life or who have experienced family crises or lived in emergency contexts.

The NGO added that these children have lots of dreams. As in 2022, the 2023 sponsorship campaign will once again focus on their "dream jobs". For these to come true, they require support. Sponsoring aims to help a child make a new start in one of the SOS Children's Villages or in a host family within the local community. Sponsoring can also help an entire village and thereby support vulnerable children in the community.

Contributions are tax deductible. Further information about sponsorship is available online at https://sosve.lu/nous-soutenir/parrainage/.
