Following the Giving Tuesday 2022 campaign, the management of Banque Havilland SA recently presented a cheque to SOS Villages d'Enfants Monde (SOSVEM) to support Venezuelan migrant children in Colombia.

The local SOS Children's Villages teams have supported vulnerable children on site in Colombia for several years.

On Tuesday 28 February 2023, Sophie Glesener, Director of SOSVEM, and Anne Schweizer, Head of Partnerships, welcomed Marc Arand, Group CEO, and Sandrine Roux, General Secretary of Banque Havilland SA for a presentation of the work accomplished in 2022 and an overview of the projects for 2023.

They expressed their gratitude for the long-standing partnership with Banque Havilland SA, which has supported the association's various international welfare projects since 2011.

Marc Arand praised the association's work and congratulated the teams involved in Colombia: "Banque Havilland is proud to support the vital work of SOS Children's Villages, which provides essential help and resources to the most vulnerable children. I would also like to thank the Banque Havilland teams for their spontaneous commitment to supporting our long-standing partnership with SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde and this cause that is close to our hearts: the well-being of children in need."

This donation for Giving Tuesday 2022 will support a project in Colombia that aims to protect and care for migrant children from Venezuela who find themselves in precarious circumstances, due to abandonment or separation from their families. In 2022, the team on site welcomed 224 children in its centres in Ipiales and Maicao, 153 of whom were reunited with their families. 31 children found a new host family. 122 reunited families received psychosocial support.
