For the third consecutive year, POST Luxembourg has supported Stëmm vun der Strooss, a local non-profit organisation which supports homeless people and vulnerable members of Luxembourg society; this time, POST donated a former service van to the charity.

The Immo-Stëmm department will use the van, described as in excellent condition and with only 60,000 km on the clock, to move the 31 people accommodated in various rooms in the south and centre of the country.

The handover of the keys took place on Thursday 15 September 2022 in the presence of Isabelle Faber, Director Human Resources, Public Relations & CSR of POST Luxembourg, Jean-Claude Schroeder, Head of Department Technical Support and Mobility of POST Luxembourg, Alexandra Oxacelay, Director of Stëmm vun der Strooss, and Benoit Klensch, Head of Immo-Stëmm, accompanied by two members of the former's staff, Martial and Malek.

Benoît Klensch presented the activities of Immo-Stëmm, which was founded in 2005: "This service aims to make the real estate market accessible to people with low incomes by guaranteeing owners payment of the rent and proper maintenance of the flat. The Immo-Stëmm service serves as an intermediary between owners and tenants. In 2021, 31 people were accommodated in 26 flats or studios".

In January 2022, POST Luxembourg had already made a social commitment by offering its employees the opportunity to donate their end-of-year gift vouchers to Stëmm vun der Strooss. This gesture, also for the third time, enables the non-profit to organise theme days throughout the year, which are always appreciated by the beneficiaries.

Alexandra Oxacelay thanked the representatives of POST for their renewed support: "With your help, you have expressed your trust in us and we will do everything we can to live up to that trust. I hope that other companies will do the same, because poverty is increasing and in order to act we need resources".
