The Early Childhood Centre (Centre Polyvalent de l'Enfance - CPE) recently donated hygiene products to Stëmm vun der Strooss, a local non-profit organisation which supports homeless people and vulnerable members of Luxembourg society, for Easter.

On Monday 4 April 2022, representatives of the CPE, Audrey Fromont, Ismael Bomblez and Mateja Rus Bassit, visited the headquarters of Stëmm vun der Strooss at 7 Rue de la Fonderie in Luxembourg-Hollerich to distribute boxes of hygiene products directly to beneficiaries of the non-profit.

The CPE is the European Commission's study and leisure centre, located in Luxembourg-Kirchberg and designed to enable European officials and other employees who are far from their place of origin to find a place to look after their children without too much difficulty once they arrive in Luxembourg.

To make the pupils aware of the precarious situation that exists in the Grand Duchy, the CPE educators approached Stëmm vun der Strooss to find out about the various collection opportunities available to support the non-profit. After a meeting with a representative of Stëmm vun der Strooss at the CPE premises, CPE pupils and their parents organised a collection of hygiene items spanning several weeks.

A total of 95 boxes were donated to Stëmm vun der Strooss. It was particularly important for the CPE representatives to personally meet with the disadvantaged people to present them with these boxes which had been carefully decorated by CPE pupils.
