Cactus has raised over €20,000 for the Luxembourgish non-profit association natur&ëmwelt through the sale of its organic bread "Bio Naturbrout" and "bag-in-box" apple juice.

On Thursday 3 March 2022, Cactus presented two checks for a total value of €20,115 to the natur&ëmwelt Fondation Hëllef fir d’Natur. The money raised in 2021 will be spent on safeguarding the emperor dragonfly and protect their habitat.

Since 2010, Cactus has been supporting a nature protection project set up by natur&ëmwelt; for each Bio Naturbrout sold, Cactus donates ten cents to the foundation’s projects. The total amount of €15,657 raised in 2021 will be financed protection of the emperor dragonfly, one of the largest species of dragonflies in Europe, and its reception in these nature reserves.

Cactus also started a solidarity connotation of "bag-in-box" apple juice of the Viezerei Wampach. Contained in a three litre box, this juice is made from apples mainly from Luxembourg orchards, is pressed in house and is 100% natural, and for each "bag-in-box" sold, Cactus donates 20 cents to the foundation’s projects; amounting to €4,458 from sales in 2021. The donation will support the foundation's many natural resource conservation projects.

Throughout the year 2022, Cactus customers will be able to continue to support dragonfly protection by purchasing this organic bread designed by Pains&Tradition.
